Things to note
This house is in the historic 45’s portion of Avon lake. The name is derived from the trolley of early years being stop number 45 from downtown cleveland. The-neighborhood, bounded on the west by Lear Road, the east by Westwinds subdivision, to the north by Lake Road, and on the south by Grove Street, was once a vacation place for Clevelanders seeking respite from city life. It was also Stop 45 on an interurban railroad that quit running 66 years ago When out-of-towners came to spend time at their Avon Lake cottages, they would often come on the electric powered Lake Shore Electric Railway, getting off at Stop 45, located at the intersection of Electric Boulevard and South Point Drive. While the Lake Shore stopped running in 1938, the neighborhood still lived on with about 600 modest-sized homes now serving as primary residences, this is a really close-knit community. Describing the area now known as the "Stop 45 neighborhood" or "The 45's" as a "real neighborhood." The 45's is an area where you won't find McMansions," but "instead, small, well-kept homes, on small lots, that line the neighborhood's narrow roads, sans sidewalks and curbs. Large shade trees blanket the community and provide a sense of longevity and permanence. The friendliness among the neighbors makes it "hard to get anything done outside on a nice day. Preserving the neighborhood made up of small homes is something most Stop 45 residents are "happy" about,

“Had a great stay for a short two night visit, Michael was great to talk with and got us right in so we could settle for the night and experience the area the next day. This home has a nice long drive way and is secure in the back. It’s a quiet neighborhood with everything thing you need within a short drive. Would stay again and would live in the area if winter wasn’t a thing!”

“We had a wonderful stay and would gladly return. The home was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The location was perfect for visiting family, and we especially loved the quiet, welcoming neighborhood. Communication was easy, and everything we needed was provided. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing and convenient place to stay.”

“The place was immaculate and everything updated. Roku TVs and Netflix, Hulu and all the apps you’d need. I brought my own Roku because I was worried about this but it wasn’t needed which was super nice! Michael was quick to respond with any concerns we’d have and we only needed it once for the WiFi password which was quickly resolved. He had our fridge stocked with water sprite and coke, he has spare toothbrushes in their packaging. The house was great and the stay was amazing super close to the water which is what we wanted too!! The only thing I can thing of that was slightly negative was someone was doing yard work in the morning and we weren’t informed. I had to wait to let our dog out but not a big deal as he was only there like 20mins. Overall the place and stay was amazing, clean and super convenient for our stay and we’d stay there again in a heartbeat!”

“We had a great stay at Michaels house. It was exactly as pictured. It was very clean and comfortable. There were extra touches such as waters and sodas in the fridge as well as extra toothbrushes and toothpaste. The neighborhood was very quiet. It was close to the lake and very walkable. There also was a nice park around the corner if you have children with you. Very close to a large grocery store and shopping too. Check in was easy and Michael easy very accessible. I would definitely stay here again!”

“Family stay in Avon Lake for a family reunion in Bay Village. Michael’s place is very convenient to Bay Village, in a comfortable community near Lake Erie. The house and accommodations are true to the pictures and description. Michael is an excellent host, staying in close contact throughout our stay. Only annoyance was an ADA confirmation request when we arrived that read more like a soft threat. If you travel with a service animal be sure to confirm that with Michael prior to booking.”

“Michael’s place was great. Newly remodeled, with many stylish touches. He provided several thoughtful amenities, which were very much appreciated. Michael’s communication was fast and accurate. We had some last-minute requests, and Michael accommodated all of them. The house was spotless. Although it is located in a small town, it is conveniently located to stores and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again!”
